Registered Commons

Registered Commons seems like one logical next step for Creative Commons to me. It both helps promote the idea of a Creative Commons and makes this innovative approach to intellectual property rights more usable.

The Open Book Publishers report statistics

The book "The Digital Public Domain", in which we had published an article on "The Value of Registering Creative Works" in 2011, has been viewed over 11500 times. We are proud to be part of a community that fosters free content and has worked on concept and tools to provide services for it.

When entering its 10th years of operation in 2016, RegisteredCommons serves as a haven for more than 1500 works. We are planning the next hardware upgrade and are negotiating a relaunch of the user interface, to make it responsive for mobile devices.
