Registered Commons

Registered Commons seems like one logical next step for Creative Commons to me. It both helps promote the idea of a Creative Commons and makes this innovative approach to intellectual property rights more usable.

Cultural Collecting Society crowd funding until 30 Sept 2013

C3S is trying to establish an alternative rights colleting society in Germany. Similar to what Registered Commons does, they intend to register works. In addtiion, they will try to become an official rights collecting society and distribute a share of incomes generated by empty media or broadcasting.

See their homepage and startnext crowd funding page.

ALLMENDA as the host of Registered Commons has sent a Letter of Intent to C3S. We are looking forward to a fruitful co-operation.
